Although I love extremes, a certain amount of equilibrium is essential for all my work. In both my life and my art, I crave contrasts which have to be kept in balance. I find myself tilting from one side to the other, again and again, as if I was on a balance beam. This balancing act occurs from conception all the way through to the completion of my art. The possibility of losing balance is both thrilling and demanding at the same time. Stability is boring, while curiosity and exploration are appealing. In my eyes, art must be an adventure, with me navigating through uncharted waters, while trying to maintain a state of equilibrium.
