Kevin Marion (born 1970) is an architect by trade, but also produces various forms of art. Architecturally, Kevin has designed and managed major building projects ranging from performing arts, university and primary education, civic, religious, hospitality, museums, commercial/corporate and custom residential. Artistically, he is focused on abstract digital work, but also experiments with other visual fine arts including pencil, pen & ink, pastels, painting, photography, wall murals of glass and porcelain tile and various forms of sculpture. Kevin believes that art and architecture are synonymous and he enjoys incorporating his artwork into his architectural designs. He also believes that architecture is an act of "Contextual Expressionism" that ultimately creates "Habitable Sculpture". An architect should do everything possible to design in response to the visual, cultural and historical context of a project while congruently applying maximum passion in making the project aesthetically pleasing from afar and harmoniously beautiful, comfortable and safe from within. The finished result should be an attractive and thoughtful piece of art ideal for living, playing, working, exhibiting, worshipping or any other function it is intended to serve.
Kevin lives in Mocksville, North Carolina with his wife and high school sweetheart Susan, his beautiful daughter Hazel, a handsome son Silas, and adorable twin girls Ruby and Iris.
